MASONITE
Mounting to masonite is a non-archival alternative to stretching. Only have your canvas print mounted to masonite if you are having the print framed. It is not like a stretched canvas that you can hang on a wall without a frame. The benefits are that it is nearly impossible to put a hole through it. Stretched canvas can be punctured because it is canvas stretched over wood support bars.
If a print is available for mounting on Masonite or Canvas, there will be a link under the "View Cart" button for that print. I am adding more Masonite and Canvas options to this site daily. If you are interested in purchasing a print that does not have this option, please contact me using the form on the "Home Page" button in the left column.
All prints mounted on Masonite will have a free protective varnish applied. Varnish is a clear protective spray that is applied to the canvas after printing. The varnish does not yellow over time. The varnish helps protect canvas from harmful UV light and seals the inks in the canvas to prevent water damage.
Masonite is available in these sizes:
- 11 x 14
- 16 x 20
- 20 x 24
CANVAS
There are two choices for canvas: After the canvas art is printed, mounted or stretched, and free clear protective varnish is applied then you can choose to have the gel brush stroke finish applied. The gel is a clear acrylic that is physically painted on the finished canvas print. The gel is brushed on in patterns. The reason it is painted on is to make the canvas feel like an oil painting and with having texture on the canvas light reflects off the brush strokes of the gel to complete the illusion of an actual painting. Canvases are available in these sizes:
Museum Wrap and Decorative Wrap
Museum Wrap:
A museum wrap is when canvas is stretched over the stretcher bars and stapled on the back of the wrapped canvas. The sides of the canvas do not have any of the image showing.
Decorative Wrap:
A decorative wrap is when the printed canvas is stretched over stretcher bars and stapled on the back of the wrapped canvas. Instead of having white, black or grey along the sides of the stretched canvas, the image is wrapped around the sides of the stretcher bars.
All prints mounted on Canvas will have a free protective varnish applied. Varnish is a clear protective spray that is applied to the canvas after printing. The varnish does not yellow over time. The varnish helps protect canvas from harmful UV light and seals the inks in the canvas to prevent water damage.
An available option for prints mounted on Canvas is the Gel Brush Stroke. Gel Brush Stroke

What size frame should I get?
This depends on the print and matt option ordered, but in general:
A 4 x 6 matted print firs a 8 x 10 frame.
A 5 x 7 matted print fits a 8 x 10 frame.
An 8x10 matted print fits in an 11x14 frame.
An 11 x 14 matted print fits a 16 x 20 frame
What color are the mats?
Most customers like to match the matt with the decor in their home. They often throw away the matt that is purchased with a print, and obtain one more to their liking. I prefer not to ship matts with prints, however, I do offer matts for frame sizes 11 x 14 or smaller. Please click the ""Matts and framing" button in the left column to view matting options. Please remember that some prints are in limited sizes, or custom sizes. If you purchase a print that requires a non-standard matt, you will need to cut this matt yourself, or visit a local framing shop to obtain the matt.
How long does it take to receive an order?
For prints 4 x 6, 5 x 7 or 8 x 10, it takes about 5 to 7 business days. I prefer to ship First Class mail, but that depends on the shipping method you choose. You will receive an e-mail informing you when the shipment went out.
For prints, canvases or prints on Masonite 11 x 14 or larger, please allow a maximum of 3 - 4 weeks.
What payment methods do you accept?
I accept payment through Credit Cards, Paypal and personal check. When you 'Check Out', you will see a PayPal screen. Please note that you
DO NOT need to have a PayPal account to use your debit or credit card on my site. Select the "Continue" option on the left of this screen to pay with credit or debit card. If you are paying with personal check, please print your invoice, and mail it with your check to:
