Brave Helios Wake Up Your Steeds

Heavy fog is a common morning occurance at Klondike Park.  The sun was just beginning to break through the fog, while reflecting in the calm, mirror surface of the lake in the quarry.\

Breathe deep the gathering gloom,
Watch lights fade from every room.
Bedsitter people look back and lament,
Another day's useless energy spent.
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one,
Lonely man cries for love and has none.
New mother picks up and suckles her son,
Senior citizens wish they were young.
Cold hearted orb that rules the night,
Removes the colours from our sight.
Red is grey and yellow white.
But we decide which is right.
And which is an illusion???

Pinprick holes in a colourless sky,
Let insipid figures of light pass by,
The mighty light of ten thousand suns,
Challenges infinity and is soon gone.
Night time, to some a brief interlude,
To others the fear of solitude.
Brave Helios wake up your steads,
Bring the warmth the countryside needs!

My Mission:

I am blind in one eye - this is what I see out of the other.

In an era where people tend to be hurried and less detail-oriented, I present to you only the details - with no distractions. I am extremely concious of not only the subject of my photography, but I either limit or entirely eliminate the background.

I offer you a respite from your daily routine. My work pulls you into the scene, and captivates you for at least a short time. The center of a flower, or other detail becomes your entire focus for the moment. I believe lighting and perspective create mood. With this consideration, a simple object becomes a landscape. Please take the time to relax and treat yourself to a different view.
